ASA 101; Basic Keel-boat Sailing Certification (or equivalent) The sailing student must demonstrate their skills and knowledge in two ways, with a practical exam (on-the-water skills assessment) with a certified ASA instructor and completing the multiple-choice, 100-question written examination with a score of at least 80.
This intermediate keelboat sailing workshop assumes some level of proficiency at the Basic Keelboat Sailing and Motoring levels and is one of a series of courses offered at Sail Dallas. During this 4-hour workshop, you will learn how to Heave-To, Reefing, when to reef, and techniques for heavy wind and waves. This entire workshop is conducted onboard, with no classroom time, giving you the opportunity to put your newfound knowledge into practice right away. By the end of the course, you will be a more confident sailor and ready to tackle heavier wind conditions with ease.
This course has a 2 hour minimum
