ASA 102 Written Exam & Student Registration
Fee: $400.00
Includes the ASA 102 written examination and on the water checkout. Students are must purchase and study the ASA 102 textbook Boat Handling & Sail Trim Made Easy prior to the exam. Additional study resources will be provided as needed to ensure student is up to date on the curriculum.
On-Water Skills Evaluation
Estimated Duration: 2 to 3 hours (based on the sailor’s demonstrated skill level)
This comprehensive on-water assessment covers all practical competencies required for ASA 102 certification.
Eligibility Requirements
This evaluation and certification pathway is exclusively available to experienced sailors. Eligibility is determined through a detailed review of the candidate’s sailing resume, logbooks, and an initial consultation. Approval must be granted by the instructor prior to scheduling.
Important Notice
Should it become apparent during the evaluation that additional instruction is needed to meet ASA 102 certification standards, the session will be transitioned to full ASA 102 course enrollment. All fees paid towards the Experienced Sailor certification will be credited toward the standard ASA 102 course tuition.
